Today marks the 25th Anniversary of 9/11
On this day 25 years ago a series of coordinated terrorist attacks were carried out against the United States, four commercial airplanes were hijacked and set on collision courses for significant US buildings. Two planes struck the World Trade Center towers, one the Pentagon, and the last plane never reached its target as it crash landed while its passengers bravely attempted to retake it from the hijackers . The tragedy resulted in the loss of nearly 3,000 lives, 2,700 in the World Trade Center attacks alone, and left a profound impact on the nation. Today, we observe Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance to honor the victims, express gratitude to the brave first responders who risked their lives, and reflect on the enduring unity, resilience, and patriotism demonstrated by the nation in the aftermath.
Birthday Celebrations are Here!
We are starting a new tradition. From now on, we will be sharing Grizzly Birthday Announcements throughout the school year.
- If you Already had a birthday since the school year started? Don't worry! We'll be sending out special belated birthday shoutouts over the next couple of weeks to celebrate you properly.
- If you Have a summer birthday, we haven't forgotten about you! We will celebrate your "un-birthday"/early birthday near the end of the school year before summer break starts.
Keep an eye out for daily shoutouts, and get ready to help us show that big Grizzly Pride and wish your classmates a happy birthday!
HS Student of the Week
My student of the week is Simon Bracamontes. Simon has been enthusiastic in class and actively participates in all of our learning activities. He is also very respectful, always raising his hand when he has a comment or wants to share his input. Simon has also done a great job helping his peers work through our practice problems.
