Congratulations to Collins Hubbell Middle School Student of the Week!
Collins is being recognized for her creativity, hard work, and perseverance in the art room. She consistently accepts feedback, puts forth thoughtful effort into her artwork, and helps make the class a great place to learn and create.

HS Student of the Week
Paul Shetler is our Student of the Week for High School Weights! Paul consistently comes to class ready to work, stays focused, and gives great effort during each workout. He has a positive attitude and keeps challenging himself to improve.
Paul also does a great job helping and encouraging the younger students in class. He is willing to answer questions, demonstrate exercises, and help others when needed. His leadership and willingness to be a positive role model make him a great addition to our weights class. Keep up the great work, Paul! Mr. Sponsel! Constitution Day
Today we celebrate a document that has guided American sovereignty for the last 239 years. The United States Constitution offers us a unique view into the minds of Enlightenment philosophers of the 17th and 18th century. In a world where Kings and Queens had absolute power over multiple territories and the citizens within, English and French philosophers envisioned a world where power was obtained not through birthright, but shared collectively by those who benefit from it. The opportunity to see this vision come to fruition presented itself in 1783, when the spoils of the victory over Great Britain were fully realized. The founders of America recognized a unique opportunity to create a civilization where certain rights were protected by the simple virtue of being human, and set the precedent that government exists to serve people, not the other way around. Today, we Americans continue to bask in the spoils of the U.S. Constitution, experiencing levels of freedom and self-autonomy never seen before in the world's history. The vision of your life is largely up to you, thanks to the hard work put forth by those who cared about our future all those years ago. In celebration of Constitution Day, take a moment to fully appreciate the life you live, and maybe share with a fellow American the freedoms you most enjoy. – by Mr. Hodge
